Salvation Army Breakfast
The Salvation Army serves breakfast each Saturday morning from 7 am -9 am. If you need a ride please call 886-4030 on Saturday between 7 am -8:30 am.
.Alzheimer's and Aging Family Support Group
Meetings are free and open to anyone who would like to learn more about the issues of aging and Alzheimer's disease. The meetings are at Jenkins Living Center the first Wednesday of every month at 7pm in the Fireside room, unless otherwise noted.
Jenkins Living Center
Jenkins Living center is looking for volunteers in the Reflections Unit and also activity helpers, bingo helpers and individuals to do manicures, read to the residents and help out in the gift shop and soda fountain.
Watertown Resource Center
Watertown Resource Center is looking for someone to answer their crisis hotline phone from their home three nights a month from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Training will be provided.
Arrow Education Foundation
The Arrow Education foundation is looking for volunteers to do computer work including facebook and websites. This would be located at Garfield School Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Contact Marilyn Petersen at 886-6763 or Waneen Polly at 882-6399.
Compassionate Friends
Compassionate friends, a national non-profit, self help organization offering friendship, understanding and hope to families grieving the death of a child of any age, from any cause will be starting in Watertown. There is no religious affiliation and there are no membership dues. For more information contact, Cindy Adkins at 882-3199, Darla Vilhauer at 886-9320.
Salvation Army
The Salvation Army is the host site for the Senior food program. This is a monthly food give-away. If you are 60 or older and in need of food, please call 886-4030 and talk to either Cindi or MaryBeth for further information.
Prairie Lakes Healthcare System/Sanford is looking for volunteers to assist people in various areas, ie the information desk, the gift shop, and the Caring club House. Volunteers are needed in these areas Monday-Sunday and if interested contact Krista 882-7716.
