NRA Backing South Dakota Conceal Carry Bill
PIERRE, SD — The National Rifle Association strongly supports a bill in the South Dakota State Legislature that would drop the requirement for a permit for concealed carry. The NRA’s Lars Daleseide disagrees with Governor Dennis Daugaard that dropping the permit requirement would allow undesirables to conceal carry firearms.
The permitless concealed carry bill squeaked by in a state house committee, so its chances are unclear even though the State Legislature is overwhelmingly Republican. Still, Daleseide is hopefull it will get to Daugaard’s desk.
