Following the directives from the American Dental Association, the Centers for Disease Control, the SD State Board of Dentistry and the Governor’s Office, the Watertown Dental Community will be limiting patient care to urgent and emergency dental appointments only until we receive further instruction.  

All non-essential routine dental appointments will be rescheduled until further notice.  These actions are to support national efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and ensure your health and the health of others. 


The Codington-Clark Electric Cooperative annual meeting scheduled for March 31st has been postponed.


Deutsch Chiropractic will limit patient visits to only acute pain patients, and to keep out nation’s trucks rolling, will continue to perform DOT physicals. Clinic hours are reduced to half days until further notice.


Amidst the COVID 19 outbreak we at NAPA in Watertown, are taking action to protect the wellness of our customers, Employees and their Families. So with that being said we are implementing NEW STORE HOURS effective 3/23/20 Monday thru Friday: 8 am – 7 pm Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm Sunday: 11 am – 3 pm We will also be making available HOME DELIVERY Monday thru Friday: 4 pm – 7 pm


EZ Stor lobby will be closed so please drop off your rent payment in the drop box or call with a CC payment


Angles Attic will be closing until further notice...but will accept donations.


City and County officials have closed their offices.  Staff is still in place, however, all buildings are closed to the public.  If you have business to conduct at these facilities, you are asked to contact by phone or email.


The Arrow Booster Club weekly meetings are cancelled until further notice


American Trust Insurance lobby is closed, however the ATI team is standing by ready to help you.


The Watertown Memory Support Group scheduled for April 1st has been cancelled.


American Legion Post 17 is cancelling their Friday Night food until further notice.  The weekend dart tournament has been cancelled.


Plains Commerce Bank lobbies are closed but their drive ups are open normal business hours.


The Blue Door Derby Camel Races have been rescheduled to Saturday September 12th.  All event details will remain the same.  Secured sponsorship's and event tickets already obtained will be honored for the September date.


No KC Bingo and No Friday fish fry in Watertown until further notice.


Due to the Global Pandemic COVID-19 (Corona Virus), Dakota nation gaming enterprises with includes Dakota Magic Casino and Hotel, Dakota Connection Bingo and Casino and Dakota Sioux Casino and Hotel will close temporarily beginning at noon on Sunday, March 22nd.  The Closure will be for at least 14 days, after that time the situation will be reevaluated and an update will be issued and posted on each opf the entity's facebook pages.  At this time there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 an any of the DNGE properties.


SD Vietnam Reunion scheduled for March 27 - 29 at the Dakota Sioux Casino has been cancelled.  Call 881-6142 for more information.

While Watertown Regional Library is closed to the public, they will be offering curbside pick-up. How curbside service works:

1. Visit our catalog at watlib.org. Underneath the items you would like to borrow, click “place hold”.

You need to sign in to the catalog. If you do not know your password, please call the library at (605) 882-6220.

If an item says unavailable, it is checked out. You may still place a hold, and you will be placed on a wait list.

2. A staff member will call you when your items are ready for pick-up.

3. When you arrive at the library, please return your current items in the book drop and pull forward to the glass doors on the east side (7th street).

4. Call the library at (605) 882-6220. Please tell us your name and that you are here to pick-up your materials. Please remain in your vehicle.

5. When the staff member comes out, please roll down your window and show us your photo ID. We will then hand you a bag with your materials. Everything will be checked out and ready to go.

If you do not have internet access, the library staff will accept requests over the phone on a limited case- by-case basis. Only call us if you cannot order items online.

When the library re-opens to the public, curbside delivery will end.


The Food Pantry program will stay open and active. Food Boxes can be obtained Mondays from 1-3pm, as well as Wednesdays & Fridays from 9-11:30am. New to this program, we will be offering home delivery to those who feel vulnerable/high risk in the coming weeks. Those who wish to get a food box delivered, please call Shannon at 605-886-4030 to do an over-the-phone appointment and set up delivery


The Community Lunch program which takes places on MWF will continue to happen; however, it will now be a hot lunch grab and go served in clamshell containers. To also ensure that everyone has adequate nutrition, the Army has now added cold grab and go lunches on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All meals Monday through Friday will be served from 11:30-12:30pm.


The Redlin Art Center has made the decision to close its gallery and gifts shops to the public immediatley.  The building will remain open so that businesses operating within the Redlin Center can conduct business as usual.


The Milltones Barbershop show scheduled for March 28th in Milbank has been postponed


In alignment with the Watertown School District Closure and the Governor's guidance, all Boys and Girls club of Watertown Services including the main club site, Arrow Prep and Kidscope programs will all be closed

Both Avantara and Jenkins Living Center in Watertown have taken precautionary measures to protect their residents against the possible spread of the coronavirus.  These facilities have enacted a  “no visitor” protocol until further notice.   Family members are encouraged to call or Skype their loved ones but you will not be allowed to visit the facility until further notice.  For more information you can contact Jenkins at 886-5777 or Avantara at 886-8431.”


St Williams Care Center's 60+ dinning has been suspended for 30 days.  If in need of a meal call 605-432-5811 ext 148. 


Codington County Cares Second Chance Prom has been postponed to July 11th, 2020.  If you are not able to make the July 11th date at the Country Road Barn work (because we know how precious our summer months are) please feel free to post your tickets on their facebook page to sell them to those who would like to attend.

The Watertown Lion’s Club Progressive Pot Blackout Bingo has been POSTPONED until April 15th.


The National Wild Turkey Federation hunting heritage banquet that was set for Thursday, April 2nd at the 2nd Street Station. **** Has been postponed to June 1st… ****


Effective immediately  ALL Reliabank lobbies will be closed to the public.

All drive-through facilities will be open normal drive-through hours.

Our loan officers, staff and account specialists will be available by phone to answer any questions or set appointments.

Reliabank will be closing their Hazel branch for the time being. Customers are being asked to utilize Watertown or Hayti locations.  Hayti customers are encouraged to use night drop and ATM's.

All of Reliabanks banking, insurance, mortgage and investment services are available to customers. They are taking this precaution to limit and control the environment of any in-person interactions. To schedule a meeting with a banker please call your local branch. This critical step, among others, is being taken to help with social distancing, identified as a key deterrent to the spread of the virus.

Week one Lion Bags will be dropped off and new Lion Bags will be picked up at the school Monday, March 23 at door #2. To avoid congestion/crowding and practice social distancing our school plans the following recommended drop-off/pick-up schedule:

730am-830am families last name ending in A-K

11am-1pm families last name ending in L-S

430pm-530pm families last name ending in T-Z

 We will be continuing our free meal bag program for next week, March 23-27. . The next pick up day for meal bags would then be Wednesday, March 25. We will have grocery bags and some boxes to be utilized but if you have an extra bag or tote bag to bring to pick up the meal bags we would appreciate that.

During this constantly shifting COVID-19 situation, we wanted to reach out and let you know what Watertown Municipal Utilities is doing during this time to keep operations as normal as possible. We know this is a difficult time and we are committed to continuing to provide electricity, water and natural gas during this time of uncertainty.

While this situation is continually evolving, Watertown Municipal Utilities wants you to know that you have our commitment to continue to provide you with services. We do not anticipate there being any disruption to your services. The Watertown Municipal Utilities office will be following the recommendations of the CDC and other government agencies.  As of now, the following changes are outlined below.

We will continue to take calls from customers and respond to outages, gas smells and water main breaks.  We will provide services reliably and safely.

We will close our lobby and service department to the general public, beginning Monday at 8:00 am, March 23, 2020 until further notice. The drive-up window will remain open from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 

The drive up drop box will be available outside of normal business hours.  The payment drop boxes, located on the south side of the Utilities building and at City Hall, will be checked daily.

Customers have other options for payment and are encouraged to set up automatic payments or make payments using our credit card payment vendor, Payment Service Network (PSN) *.  To reach PSN, go to www.paymentservicenetwork.com or call them at 1-877-885-7968.

As an essential service provider, Watertown Municipal Utilities plans to take the steps necessary to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. Customers are encouraged to contact us at (605) 882-6233 with any additional service needs, questions or concerns.  


It is with heavy hearts, The Prop have decided to close-up completely during this Covid-19 pandemic and not offer any call-in orders.  The folks at The Prop look forward to seeing everyone again once this crisis passes.
