Structure Fire

The Watertown Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire shortly after 3pm Tuesday after the Henry Fire Department requested mutual aid for a house fire in Henry.  Fire Crews say when they arrived on-scene they entered the two-story home and worked to extinguish the fire which had spread to the attic and the walls of the home.

The home and its contents are a total loss. Two pets were also killed in the fire.  There was nobody home at the time the fire started and no injuries were reported.  The Henry Fire Department was assisted by the Watertown and Florence Fire Departments and members of the Codington County Search and Rescue, Emergency Management and the Sheriff’s Department. Crews were on-scene for approximately six hours.
