Watertown, SD -- All ten Watertown City Aldermen, city department heads, and the Watertown Development Company attended a one-day retreat Tuesday to talk about the future vision of the community. Mayor Sarah Caron said they also talked about the process for picking the new city manager who begin work in 2021.
And, although the mayor has announced plans to seek another term as mayor, she hasn’t altogether ruled out applying for the city manager’s position either.
Right now she plans to concentrate on her mayoral duties to bring continuity to the city as it moves forward with the new management changes. The city manager will begin duties in July 2021. The retreat ran from 8 a.m. Tuesday morning until 3 p.m. in the afternoon.
