The South Dakota Department of Health reports 22 new COVID-19 cases in Codington County on Wednesday. The total case count is now 490 in Codington County since the pandemic began back in March. Of those cases, 178 cases remain active and 310 cases have recovered. Since the pandemic began the county has had a total of 18 people hospitalized with the virus.
Statewide, South Dakota added 169 new cases on Wednesday bringing the active case count to 2,434. 12,964 patients have recovered from the virus.
Currently there are 76 patients that remain hospitalized.
As of today, Clark County has four active cases. Day County has six active cases. Deuel County has 11 active cases. Grant County has 16 active cases. Hamlin County has 17 active cases and Roberts County has 15 active cases.
