According to the South Dakota Department of Health on Sunday, Codington County now has 83 COVID-19 cases, 51 of those have recovered leaving the county with 32 active cases. This is a dramatic spike in cases which began to rapidly climb last week.
The Department of Health says the state added 35 new cases on Sunday. In South Dakota there are 903 active cases. There were no new COVID-19 deaths over the weekend. The death total stands at 97, 44 males and 53 females. Regionally, Clark County has 15 cases, 12 have recovered. Day County has 18 cases, 13 recovered. Grant County remains at 13 cases, all have recovered. Hamlin County has 13 cases, nine have recovered. Roberts County has 52 cases, 41 cases have recovered.
