The South Dakota Department of Health has updated the latest COVID-19 numbers in the state. Total they reported 66 new cases statewide. That brings the statewide total to 6,419 cases. Codington County did not see any new cases in the past 24 hours. The county has had 49 cases of COVID-19. Of those 49 cases, 45 have recovered. Recoveries are up two from yesterday.  

One new death was reported today, a  Minnehaha County man in the age group of 80 plus, died bringing the state's death total now to 84. 

As of Wednesday, there are 81 people hospitalized with COVID-19. Hospitalizations are down 4 from yesterday. 

Cases in our region include Clark County which has 13 total cases, ten have recovered. Hamlin County has 11 cases, 9 have recovered. Grant County has had 13 cases all those cases are recovered. Roberts County has 40 cases, 37 have recovered, and Day County has had 13 cases.  All 13 of those cases have recovered.
