On Tuesday at 11:51AM,Codington County Deputies responded to 44414 172nd St in Henry SD, for a report of a theft and trespassing in progress. When they arrived, Deputies apprehended Charlianne Robertson and Brandon Yankton who were on the property illegally.
During the investigation, Deputies became aware that the vehicle Robertson and Yankton were driving belonged to a car dealership in Waubay and had not yet been returned. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 10 grams of Methamphetamine, a scale, a small amount of marijuana and multiple items of paraphernalia and also stolen items. Also located in the vehicle was a loaded .38 special Smith and Wesson revolver.
Brandon Yankton (30) of Peever, SD was on parole for aggravated assault on law enforcement. Yankton was arrested for Possession of Firearm by a Former Violent Offender, Possession Controlled Drug or Substance, Possession of Marijuana 2 oz or less, Possession or Use Drug Paraphernalia, and Ingesting Controlled Drug or Substance as Felony. Bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety.
Charlianne Robertson (32) of Webster, SD was arrested for Possession Controlled Drug or Substance, Possession of Marijuana 2 oz or less, Possession or Use Drug Paraphernalia, and Distribute/Manufacture of Controlled Drug. Bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety.
Deputies were assisted by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
Both suspects are being held at the Codington County Detention Center. More charges are pending as the investigation continues.
