Severe weather is a possibility across much of the region this afternoon into the evening. Andrew Kalin at the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls says showers now in central parts of the state will move east and the rain could get heavy along the I-29 corridor.
Kalin says there is the potential for heavy rain across much of the area.
Kalin says there could be more strong weather later in the weekend.
Kalin says large hail and winds to seventy miles per hour are the main threats from the severe thunderstorms.
