The South Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing their investigation into an injury crash that happened shortly after 6:30 Wednesday night, five miles South of Kranzburg.
According to Tony Mangan of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, a 1998 Ford Ranger driven by Lonnie Meseberg, 47, of Goodwin, SD was traveling northbound on 464th Avenue.
A 2010 Chevrolet Silverado pickup. Driven by 17-year-old Austin Appelhof of Goodwin was traveling eastbound on 174th Street when the two vehicles collided in the intersection.
Meseberg suffered serious non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Prairie Lakes Healthcare by Watertown Fire Rescue Paramedics.
Appelhof was not injured in the crash. He was the only occupant in his vehicle. According to troopers, neither driver was wearing a seatbelt. Charges are pending against both drivers.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
