Grant County Vehicle-Train Collision Results in Injuries to Two

Monday afternoon shortly after 2:30pm, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a car vs. train crash just north of Highway 12 on 483^rd Avenue, Northeast of Milbank. 

 According to Grant County Sheriff Kevin Owen, Scott Mueller was driving a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Southbound on 483^rd Avenue when he collided with an eastbound Burlington-Northern Sante Fe Train pulling numerous cars.  Mueller and his passenger, Seth Mueller both received serious but non-life threatening injuries and were transported by ambulance to the Milbank Area Hospital.  The Jeep was a total loss and the train sustained very minor damage.  No injuries were reported on the train.  The Grant County Sheriff was assisted on-scene by the Grant-Roberts Ambulance Service and Milbank Fire Rescue.
