Watertown, SD -- Watertown Mayor Sarah Caron, as part of the Unified Corona Virus Command team, informed local residents during an afternoon press conference that the city is seeing an overall reduction in business activity and traffic around the city.
Shannon Britt who is the Infection Control Nurse at Prairie Lakes Hospital says health care professionals continue to keep close watch on the spread of the virus. She explained more in detail how the testing works.
The Mayor also talked about community layoffs that are occurring this week.
Thursday was the first day of a new city ordinance asking some businesses to close and team Public Affairs Officer Sgt. Nic Ahmann said they had great compliance.
