One man died early Thursday morning in a one-vehicle crash south of Volga.

According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, a 2016 Honda Civic LX was southbound when the driver failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle went off the roadway and rolled.

The 57-year-old male driver, who was the only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene. Both the time of the crash and seat belt use are under investigation by the South Dakota Highway Patrol. 

The identity of the driver has not been released pending notification of family members.
