With a national emergency being declared due to the corona virus the City of Watertown has begun taking steps to limit the possible exposure to the community and city staff. Earlier this week, Mayor Sarah Caron advised that the Public Library would be closed this week, however, she said the Wellness Center would stay open. The decision to leave the Wellness Center Open has had people wondering why? Would there be a higher risk of contracting the COVID-19 at the Wellness Center than the library? Caron says the decision was made because of the amount of space available at the wellness center…..
The Public Library, she says has much more limited space to exercise social distance…..
The mayor says they will reevaluate the decision to keep the Wellness Center Open if that is needed.
