There will be fifty-nine republicans in the South Dakota House at the start of the 2019 session, down one from the last two years. House Majority Leader Lee Qualm of Platte sent a letter to all the members during the interim, asking them to support the GOP caucus. He says there are lots of different views among the members.
Qualm says he believes there is good consensus among the republicans.
The 2019 session starts on January eighth.
