South Dakota Department of Health

The South Dakota Department of Health released the latest COVID-19 numbers on Sunday.  Watertown increased our cases by one, to seventeen, with two active cases. Fifteen patients have recovered. Day and Hamlin counties each added one new case.  Day County has eleven cases, Nine have recovered.  Hamlin County has three cases with two recovered. 

There were no reported deaths on Sunday.  South Dakota’s death total now stands at 44.  Thirty-nine of those deaths are in Minnehaha County.  There has been one death each in Pennington, McCook, and Jerauld Counties.  Beadle has had two deaths. 

South Dakota saw a decrease in active cases on Sunday, which is now 1,219.  The number of active cases dropped by 23.   The next update will come from the Department of Health on Monday at 11:45 am right here on KXLG.
