COVID-19

The South Dakota Department of Health reported on Monday that Codington County added 16 new COVID-19 Cases bringing the total county count to 462 cases. 272 of them have recovered and 186 remain active.   So far, in Codington County there have been 16 people hospitalized with the virus and two deaths.

Hamlin County added one new case on Monday. Hamlin County has 19 active cases with a total of 50 cases recovered out of 69 that have been reported. 

Grant County did not add any new cases on Monday. The county has 17 active cases. 

Deuel County also did not report any new cases on Monday, Deuel remains at 10 active cases.

Clark County had one new case on Monday, 5 cases remain active. 

Roberts County did not report any new cases.  15 cases remain active. 

Day County did not see any new cases on Monday, 7 cases remain active.

There are 259 active cases in the seven-county region. Of those 186 are in Codington County.  545 cases have recovered, and 45 people have been hospitalized in the seven-county region since the pandemic began.  

On Monday, the South Dakota Department of Health reported 191 new positive cases, bringing the state's total case count to 15,300.

Current hospitalizations statewide are at 78, down five from Sunday's 81. The Department of Health also reports that the total number of people who have tested negative for the virus, as of Monday, is 140,793.
