The South Dakota High School Activities Association board of directors voted unanimously on Wednesday to allow all sanctioned high school fall sports and activities to start on time for the 2020 season. 

The 9-0 vote by the board of directors was included in a detailed 16-page report released this week by a 30-member task force of high school administrators, Activities Association board members and the High School Activities Association staff, as well as medical and state office representatives.  

Practices will begin on August 3rd for soccer, girls tennis, competitive cheer and competitive dance, with 11B an nine-man football practice is beginning on Aug 6th. The other larger football classes and boys golf will begin on August 10th. Cross Country and Volleyball practices will begin on August 13th. 

Also included in the report, are mandatory modifications and optional modifications for each event as well as information regarding safety protocols and the handling of positive COVID-19 cases.
