On Friday 10/15/21 around 2pm the Watertown Fire Department was called to a fire at 703 9th Ave NE.

As they arrived, the fire appeared to be in a shed in the back of the residence. The Watertown Fire Department made quick work of putting the fire out on the 10 x 15 shed.

The owner of the shed was working on a small engine in the shed when it started on fire. The owner sustained burns and was transported to PLH by WFR ambulance. The extent of his burns was unknown at the time of the press release. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and kept it from spreading to the garage and house in close proximity to the shed. The shed and its contents were a total loss. Firefighters were on scene for about an hour. WFR was assisted on scene by WPD and Watertown Municipal Utilities.
