The South Dakota Department of Health says that the death toll from the coronavirus remained at 81, unchanged from Sunday.
There were 29 new positive cases of COVID-19 announced on Monday, bringing the state’s total to 6,326. Total recoveries increased to 5,437, up 48 from Sunday. Active cases are at 808, down from Sunday’s 827.
Current hospitalizations are at 88, down from Sunday (89). Total hospitalizations are at 616, up from Sunday (608).
Regionally, Codington County remains at 49 cases, 43 have recovered. Hamlin County has 11 cases, 9 recovered. Clark County has 12 cases, 10 recovered. Day County has 13 cases, all recovered. Deuel County 1 case that is recovered and Roberts County has 40 cases, 37 are recovered.
