The South Dakota Department of Health reports 26 new COVID-19 cases in Codington County on Thursday. That brings the county total to 516 total cases since the pandemic began in March. Codington County also added 20 new recovered cases today. As of Thursday morning, there are 184 active cases in the County with two reported deaths from COVID-19.
Codington County has had a total of 19 patients hospitalized during the pandemic, that number increased by one in the last 24 hours.
Statewide, South Dakota added 263 new positive cases, bringing the state’s total case count 15,834. 2,456 cases remain active. Although the new positive cases increased by 263, there were 237 patients recovered in the last day. That leaves a total net increase of 26 positive cases.
Hospitalization's increased from 76 on Wednesday to 83 on Thursday.
