The South Dakota Department of Health announced today that starting on Monday, February 22nd, the vaccination age of those who qualify to receive their COVID-19 vaccination will be dropping to 65 and over in age.

Next week, the state allocation of vaccines will increase to 17,660 doses which is a 13.7% increase over this week. That number does not include doses allocated to the Federal Pharmacy Retail Program, the VA or Indian Health Services.

On Wednesday, South Dakota saw 92 new cases of COVID.  The active case count in the state is 2,072.  In Codington County, 10 new cases were added. 134 cases are listed as active.  No new COVID related deaths were reported on Wednesday.
