The Watertown Area United Way is currently accepting applications for a new executive director.

Laura Hoiten has held the position for the past 2 years, nine months, but is leaving to take a job with the City of Watertown as executive assistant to the Public Works Director.

She begins her new job in February, but she said she will miss working for the United Way and plans to help with the transition to a new executive director.

Since it was formed in 1970, Watertown Area United Way has grown to an annual campaign of $715,000 and allocates funds to 35-40 local programs annually.
