Watertown Community Cares

The Watertown Community Cares Program will be hosting their final food distribution at the Boys and Girls Club this afternoon. (Thursday)

Captain Steve Rehorst is the public information officer for the Watertown Police Department. He says the group feels that their mission has been completed......

Rehorst said the community really came together during the pandemic to help those who needed it and also to “flatten the curve”....

The food distribution begins at 4:00pm today and will last until the boxes are gone. Vehicles can line up on Arrow Avenue from Highway 81 and will be directed by volunteers into the parking lot.  No entrance will be available off of 3rd Avenue.

Watertown Community Cares is a collaboration of organizations including 4 the Kids SD, Boys and Girls Club, First United Methodist Church, Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, PACH, Salvation Army, and Watertown Love.

The weekly food distribution has been funded through a grant received by the Watertown Area Community Foundation’s Relief Fund.
