Shortly after 12:oopm on Saturday, Watertown Fire Rescue (WFR) was dispatched to the 1300 block of 22nd Street NE for a camper and fence that was on fire.  Watertown Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Don Rowland told KXLG News that crews arrived on-scene and were able to knock the fire down quickly……

Once knockdown was achieved on fire effecting the house, efforts focused on extinguishing the fire on the camper, fence, pickup and garden shed.


Fire officials have issued warnings this week that warm, dry and windy conditions have increased the risk of fires throughout the state. This is the second residential fire within one week in NE Watertown.  Rowland says that is unusual……

Rowland said the cause of the fire remains under investigation….

Watertown Fire Rescue was on-scene for approximately 1 ½ hours.  They were assisted by the Watertown Police Department.
