The Watertown School Board was presented with the district’s state achievement report card at this week’s monthly meeting. Tricia Walker presented the board with the report that included the ACT results for the graduation class of 2020 and other data...

And although the report was a positive for the district, not every board member is pleased with the district’s academic progress.  Jean Moulton said she did a deep dive into student performance in the district and came away with these findings.....

She broke it down further saying the science classes have 26 sections that are crowded, English 30, math 12, and social studies 28.  She added that world history is faced with large classes and that both German and Spanish classes are also experiencing a big uptick in numbers....

Board President Stephanie Lenards says it’s a discussion the board will have to have in the future.
