The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill warning for the central part of the United States from North Dakota down through Texas. Meteorologist Jennifer Wojcicki says one weather system is blocking another, keeping the cold air over a huge area of the country.

The average temperature for us here in Northeast South Dakota South Dakota this time of year is in the middle to upper teens. Wojcicki says we will see temperatures really begin to warm up toward the end of this work week…..

The National Weather Service says these dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
