National Weather Service

Severe Weather moved through the KXLG listening area yesterday afternoon and evening and that brought a lot of rain to the area and even some tornados to the area north of Watertown.  Travis Tarber is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Aberdeen.

Tarber says that although there is reported damaged to a couple of farms from the tornados,  teams from the National Weather Service will go out today to assess the damage.

As far as rain amounts are concerned  Sisseton received the most in the area and the Watertown airport received just over an inch.

Tarber says that there are a couple of systems that are developing right now that could bring more severe  weather  to our area.

All total one again, Watertown received 1.09 inches of rain in the past 24 hours.
